Trim piece identification

    I'm trying to Identify an L-shaped trim piece originally thought to be for a GTO...but GTO guys say not...it a cast&chromed piece about 6" on one leg and about 18" on the other with a slight bend in the long leg...it has #404688 RH cast into the inside...anyone know what it's for? Any GM parts books out there?...appreciate any help...thanks

    It's the right side front hood chrome for a 70 cutlass.

    do you have a 70 cutlass? is this based on the part number? not trying to be a wise guy at all, just want to be sure...thanks
