Tri Shield 470 sleeper motor... save $3000

Discussion in 'Parts for sale' started by GranSportSedan, Feb 8, 2013.

  1. motor is currently in progress at Tri Shield performance

470 stroker designed to look stock and sound very tame yet make over 500 hp and torque. uses stock exhaust manifolds and a worked factory intake. comes complete carb to pan and flexplate to water pump. Billet fuel pump, distributor and plug wires included, essentially all you need to add is your pulleys and fan along with exhaust manifolds. my cost for this engine was $14,100 willing to sell for $10,000

complete build specs and quote available by email.

    highlights,

TA stage 1 SE heads (ported and painted)
    TA roller rockers
    TA hydraulic roller camshaft
    Forged 470 rotating assy
    New TA timing cover assy
concourse rebuilt and plated 800 cfm Q-jet tuned for combination
    Tri Shield Billet fuel pump
    stock appearing ignition system
    new TA reproduction oil pan
    much much more

Turn key motor for your stock appearing car

I have placed an $11,500 deposit on this motor, you would pay me $7500.00 and when engine is complete you pay Tri Shield the balance (plus shipping unless you go pick it up) I will provide all paperwork to the prospective buyer.

this offer is only good until the engine has hit the dyno, after that i will take delivery and use it myself

    Exactly what my car needs!

I don't have that much cash saved up but will put my thinking cap on!

Will you still need a motor? Possibly work a trade and cash?

Can I ask why you don't keep it? (Re: Tri Shield 470 sleeper motor.)

Dear GranSportSedan and V-8 Buick assertive engine lovers,

Awe shucks, :( I was hoping you would be following in the footsteps of a certain assertive engine for da' trusty wagon. If it isn't too painful, can I ask why you are considering parting with your baby?

    Cheers, Edouard

P.S. Sorry for hijacking the thread.

  8. Edouard,
    i will send you a P.M

    Bump for a great deal!

  11. Wow, a $4000 dollar discount on a brand new TriShield engine and hardly a peep... hmmmmm I'm betting after the Dyno results and video are posted that will change but at that points it's to late. Engine scheduled for dyno feb 26

Every time I read this thread I think of two things.

1- I can't believe nobody bought it yet. ( I would, in a heartbeat, if I had the cash)

2- It must be nice to have more money than patience. ( I have just the opposite)

Good luck with your sale, it's a hell of deal for someone.

Jim (machinefarmer) is going a bit of a different way with it Todd, single plane/headers/Holley... and into a 65 and well into the 11's..

Your right, hell of a deal, and quick turn too.. a preview of what is to come here at TSP.

"in stock" is going to become my favorite phrase.
