    Advance Auto recently switched to the Anchor line of motor and transmission mounts. I was doing some "Googling" the other day and found that Anchor makes all three kinds of transmission mounts that are needed for our older cars.

    Advance does NOT list them, but the Anchor website does under 1970 Buick, and they're listed in the parts book in the Advance stores. Tell the counter person at Advance to drag out the book and start looking.

    The three part numbers are:
    P/N# 2360 - Rectangular mount with one stud;
    P/N# 2374 - Square mount with one stud ( I think this is what I used on the dynaflow in my '63 Riv. I drilled a hole in the transmission crossmember and it worked great;
    P/N# 2378 - rectangular with threaded holes.

    Hope this helps someone. (I recently paid $38.00 for a transmount for my 64 Riv to Classic Buicks; the same one from Anchor cost $4.44 at Advance)

    Thanks, Ed. :TU: I need one for my 64 Wildcat. I found one on eBay for about $33, but thankfully didn't buy it. Engine mounts from Rock Auto were about $5.25 each. I sure don't understand that.

    Good to know.
    Last time I needed a mount for my '70 Riv, I ran all over town with my old one.
    The only ones everybody stocked ( and the computer said was correct :rolleyes:) was the one for your typical A-Body.
    Not even close as you know, since the holes for the bolts that mount to the frame are at a diagonal.

    I think the one I eventually got through NAPA special order was made offshore, because now one of the threaded inserts in the rubber broke loose and I can't get the bolt out. :blast:
    Haven't figured out what I will do about it since the bolt is recessed up in the frame. :idea2:
    I guess I have all winter to ponder it.
