Transmission crossmember

    I've asked a few off list but I'll toss this out to the list also. For those that have race cars only, not street driven, what did you use/fabricate or otherwise come up with for the transmission crossmember? Pictures would be great if possible. I've looked at the universal crossmember mount from PAW but am more curious as to what type of luck you've had with yours. Do you enclose the rear portion of the trans in the crossmember somehow? Let me know and as always, I appreciate it.

    I've had no problems with the stock crossmember as long as it is in good shape. I tried an Olds boltin one but it had less clearance for my header extensions.

    I went well in to the 10's w/ my old car w/ the stock piece.
    Now I have a nicew tubular deal with the driveshaft loop integrated into it.Saved some weight there.

    Thanks Gary, we're getting close....real close. Do you, per chance, have a pic of the crossmember. Hate to be a pain in the A__ but pics do wonders for this aging/balding, senior citizen.
