I am having a problem trying to get the 2 speed tranny in my 66 skylark to quit leaking around the oil pan. I have tried to flatten the pan around the holes and different gaskets and it still leaks. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thank you, Les

Are you sure it is not the dipstick? That has fooled me before.

John, thank you for the quick response. No, I am not sure that it is not the dipstick. I know that it has a o-ring on the tube and it is a good chance that could be it. Do you happen to know what size the o-ring is? I will have to get it up on the hoist and check it out.
    Thanks again, Les

I have solved a lot of fixed seal leaks (not just cars) with that blue gasket maker.

That O ring dipstick is a pretty wimpy design, if the tube gets a little out
of line. I solved that by using late 70s dipstick sets, which use a rubber funnel
into the trans, a set retrofits fine. Bruce Roe

Bruce, thank you for that information. Are you talking about 78 or 79 350 tranny for a Skylark?
