Tranny kick down switch?

We put a 350 into a '67 Special and kept the tranny that came with the '67. So we've got this kick down switch that was mounted on the back of the intake manifold on the old engine(300-2). We've figured out how to remount the thing on the new 350 but... I goofed up and didn't take pictures of how the wiring went on the switch.

I know the wires that go to the two that I've marked out with red X's. I've got 3 terminals and only 2 wires left over. One comes from the transmission(yellow) and the other(red) which can be seen in the photo that comes off the firewall.

It appears that one of the terminals really hasn't been used but I still don't know which wire goes where or if I'll blow up something if I hook them up incorrectly. :Do No:

    Anyone got answer for me?

All the switch does is pass 12 volts down to the trans. On the THM400 switch at the gas pedal, it doesn't matter. One side gets 12volts all the time, the other side goes to the trans. The switch just passes voltage from 1 terminal to the other.

You may be missing the wiring that attaches to the throttle lever coming out of the firewall...there's a small microswitch there that allows the converter to hit high stall at idle. See "view B" in the diagram below. Yes, the '67 ST300 has a variable pitch torque converter.

Okay so we got the wiring figured out and I "thought" hooking up the detente switch wouldn't be that much of a problem.

    Apparently I was wrong.

Attached are pics of both motors and the carb linkage plates. The green one is the 300 that the switch came off, the red is the 350 we're trying to install the switch on. It looks to me as tho the 'throw length'(the distance the throttle rod moves ~ 1 & 3/4 inch) is almost identical and yet if we hook the detente switch up it bottoms out before the back 2 barrels open on the carb. If we set it to where all 4 barrels open the detente switch keeps it from idling down properly. It also looks like to me that on the 300 the switch linkage would move more up than back initially, which if I could figure out how to do on the 350 would solve my problem.... I think?

So what am I missing here? It seems like a simple deal, but I'll be danged if I can figure it out?
