Saturday night at Thunder Valley Raceway (local track) i saw a beautiful 86 regal pull in on a trailer. Silver, 4 inch cowl, perfect interior. They pitted down from us when they fired her up i knew she was fast.

I watched the car during time trials and it ran a consistent 10.96 in the 1/4.

We both entered into the Saturday night shootout. I never got the chance to hear them announce the car and the guy wouldn't tell us much about it.

I paired up with the car in the semi's my car ran consistent up to this point. slow but consistent. 12.91 best of the night.

I dialed in at 12.90 just to be safe he dialed a 10.94. i cut a .058 light and he cut a .076 so reaction was close. i knew he was coming so i never lifted i ran my number with a 6 12.906 and put him on the trailer.

I went to the finals only to get runner up to a nova. I talked to John the tower announcer afterward only to find out the regal was powered by a bowtie 502!

I was even happier to here that after knowing i beat him.

    Thanks
    Dustin

great kill, And wow cutting a .058 light is friggin awsome. One question, The car in the pic doesn't have a cage or bar that I can see. Is it just obscured or does your track allow you to make 10 second passes without rollbars.

it has a roll bar if you look really close above the door handle (1 - 2 inches) you can see the angle of the bar. the roll bar is painted the same color as the interior and the tint on the little window doesn't help any.

    Thanks
