Trailer hitch for ’68-’72 Skylark/GS, $40 plus shipping. I pulled this hitch off of a ’69 Skylark ‘vert some 15 years ago and it has been in storage shortly after that. I did use this hitch for a summer mounted to a ’70 GS 350 to pull a small jet ski trailer. The lateral bar is contoured and pictured for the shape of the ’68-’69 rear bumper and bolts at the ends to the (rt. & lt.) frame rails … loosen the center tongue bolt and swing the lateral bar 180 degrees to make it fit ’70-’72 rear bumpers. Located in DFW, TX area.
NOTE TO ENTREPRENEURS There is a noticeable lack of hitch availability for the 68-72 A bodies. Anyone care to step in and fill the need?
I have one for an El-Camino, or should I say "X-Camino", but I believe it is different due to the frame being flat back there. Duane
I have a dealer installed chrome hitch on my 1970 Skylark custom. It is stamped "70" Chrome still looks good. You can search my posts and see some pics or I can take some. I have considered having it rechromed and leave it on for the "COOL" factor. I am open to offers starting at $100.00 :Brow:
I have a factory one. Removed from my 1972 convertible. Mine also has an extension added for 1972 bumper guard. Can't say that part is factory. Will post pictures if anyone has interest. Thanks
Here are some pictures of the trailer hitch. Just painted. Would clean up well. As I mentioned, A piece was added for the rear bumper guard. $75.00 plus shipping
