the 69 project im working on,the car came with a 68 grille :error: anyone trade me the correct grille?im too cheap to buy a repo :laugh: if nobody trades,im going to use the 68 on my 69 & piss everyone off ou: help so people dont throw rocks at me!! p
68 A few years ago I built a 68 and searched the world over for a grille. Never found a 68, but did find a 69 and ran that for several years before finding a 68 grille. Just sold the 69 a few months ago. Wish I had it for you. Jim N.

pics of what i have now not being a 68/69 expert,i believe this is the 68 gs.the chrome surround is fine shape.i do have the 69 surround,with center horizontal bar,but its cracked :rant: 69 should have the vertical slats also,as far as i can tell.ive seen many different grills on 68/69 cars & am not positive what is correct.adding to the confusion is the fact that its a california GS,i dont know if it came with a true GS grille,or just a badge on a special grille,or if they were any different???remember,its not a full-blown restoration,but i would like to have the correct 69 grille on it.99% of the people wouldnt notice,but you guys ........ p

as far as i can tell,mine is 68.69 had a different surround,which i have & the bottom horizontal bar covers the GS emblem.like i said,i dont know what "correct" looks like o No:
The grill posted in the pictures is correct for 1968 GS400, GS350, GS California and Skylark Custom. The only difference in the "Skylark" grill is that it is painted silver in the middle and not black. The '68 Sportwagon and Special used a different grill with 12 horizontal slats. The top grill in my photo is for the GS and the bottom is for the Sportwagon/Special. Both grills will fit in a GS. I would assume that a '69 Cali GS would use a GS grill o No: Sorry, neither grill is for sale at this time since you never know when a bird may fly into my current grill :spank:

68 grill Jamie, I looked at your pictures , again. The grill looks like the right one for me, but I don't know what you mean about the surround being different, I thought they were the same for 68 and 69. Send me the one for the 68 please and you can keep the GS emblem, Thanks Steve.
