Just came back from the dyno. hp a little low but close to expected, but no torque on my mild '73 455 250 rwhp @ 5200 290 lbf/ft @ 3800 (high rpm's?) I thought that even a low comp motor like this would put out way more torque. Curve is also very "peaky" Test was done in 2th gear because I can't lock it in 3th, maybe that affected the result. Idle is very rough, it sorta spits out the exhaust, could my cam be installed wrong (Mild cam, should idle smooth) What can I do to get my torque up
Everyone would need more info in order to offer suggestions. If the idle is rough with a "mild" ?? cam (specs would help), then something is wrong. Timing? Carburation? Cam not degreed? Need more info.:TU:
