I got my new trans from the shop yesterday, I am one happy camper!!!!:beers2: It is a Th400 with all the good stuff, $2300 and it is waranteed for up to 1100 hp.

I am looking to hear from people on what converters are working well for them at the 700-900 HP level. No trans brake, 11" wide ET streets, 12 bolt 3.73. I am looking for a converter that will flash to about 3500 and still not slip much on the top end of the track.

    The application:

70 Skylark 3700 pounds. I am expecting about 420 hp NA and 700-900 hp depending on boost and nitrous.

8.6:1 compression Buick 350 with alum sheet metal single plane intake, blowthrough carb, heads are ported irons with oversized valves, (SBC roller rockers), Nitrous spec dished Diamond racing pistons with valve reliefs, forged rods stock spec but WAY lighter, lightened stock crank ballanced assembly, ARP studs in mains, heads ect align honed, billet timing set degreed, mild street cam, tube headers, dual 3" exhaust, twin T3/T4 turbos set to 14 psi limit. Air to air intercooler plus nitrous makes a great intercooler.

I plan to leave the line at 3000 rpms on a 2 step with no trans brake, shoot a 100 shot of nitrous right away and have the nitrous shut off via a relay once the boost hits 10 psi. I will be shifting at 6000 most likely maybe 6500 max.
