You might want to try American Eagle Wheels, (Eagle Alloys) there cheaper than Torq thrust II's and have the exact same look, only down side is no 16". They cary 14's, 15's and 17's. I elected 15X8 front's and 15X10 rears. Here are a couple of pic's. Dexter
Second Pic. Just make sure if you do want them, you order them now. I live in Toronto and my 15X10 rears had to come in from Tacoma Washington, with about a 3 week wait.
Torque Thrust II's I am running Torque Thrust II's. 17" x 8" on 245/45/17 Bridgstones. I really like the D's but could not get them in the larger diameter. Needed larger diameter for bigger brakes.
Mark, What's the backspacing on the TTIIs? I don't have the big brakes (yet) but considering 17s to go with the suspension mods already done and the OD tranny coming soon. Thanks
GSXNUT, what back spacing are you running, and are you running the 275/45/17's on all four corners??? Why did you elect for the 17x8's and not 17x9.5( in the rear)??? Thanks Michael
If you like the look of the D but want larger dia wheels go with the "Classic Torqthrust II's" they have all the larger sizes and a dark grey powder coated center.
I have the Torque Thrust II's. 17x8's up front and 17x9.5's in the rear. Here... http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=24497
This is 275x40x17 in back, 245x50x16 in front. 17 is x9.5 with 4.75 backspace, and front is x8 with 4 inch backspace.
Those dimensions are the width's of the wheels. The tire sizes are 245/45/17 for the front and 275/40/17 in the rear. The rear wheels have 5 3/4" backspacing in order to center it correctly in the rear wheelwell. I believe they need to be custom made as they don't have it listed on American Racing's webpage. Believe it not, I got my rear wheels off of Ebay for $200 using the buy-it-now option. I found them right at the midnight hour, half-drunk searching Ebay. lol. I believe the wheels would've cost me around $600 just for the pair as they needed to be custom made with that backspacing. I still can't believe it on how lucky I got as the wheels are in perfect shape.
