I ran into a guy today with a 69 "Duece and a Quarter" convertible. Fairly loaded and not rusty. Been sitting FOREVER! Dirty and stinky as they come. What's the value of a car that's not real rusty but really needs everything??

    Thanks for the advice.

I'm definitely not a "Big Buick" expert, but unfortunately (for the sellers) 225's just don't bring a lot of dollars for how nice of a car they are ,from what I've seen....If I were to pick a number based on the current market and the condition of the vehicle in question, I'd say about $1,000 would be max $
    Just my opinion..... :Do No:

Production numbers for the model year 1969 Electra 225 Custom convertible are only 8294, so this is a pretty rare car. Just like all the 1959-1970 Electra convertibles are.

    I beg to differ

While examples that are not nice do tend to be a bit doggy in the market, current values in Old Cars Price Guide (which is just that a guide, not a bible) lists the 69 Electra Convert as follows: #4 $5K - #3 $10K - #2 $17.5K - # 1 $25K those prices reflect the exact same prices as a 69 GS400 Convert. There is a strong following for the big Buick Luxury converts, they are actually higher in market value than other big car converts of that era. I get emails and people regulary making very nice offers on my 69. See, there is Buick value and collectability out there other than the almighty GS

Thanks for the replies. This car really needs a complete redo however it is not a rust bucket so that helps.

I will pursue this car and see what happens.
