i am a little late in posting this , but it is worth the wait . On july 4th , at an annual , local , judged hotrod club sponsored car show , i won a very nice top twenty plaque . one of two buicks in the show of a mix of 225 cars & rods , mine being the gs & the other being a 74 apollo . a win for a buick ! great feeling !
picture of plaque hope that this picture is not too large . sorry , but i cut off the association name which is Windsor Area Street Rods Inc . this group hosted the canadian nationals last july (2003) .
update ... guess what ? this past sunday , at a local carshow of about 80 cars , my car was voted "peoples choice" best of show . the president's award went to an excellent 1967 dark blue gto post car . i must admit my car shows well but certainly is not concourse nor the quality of restoration of that gto . the finest comments i get are about the paint condition (red) and the appearance under the hood . the engine bay is restored to near original . the firewall , fender liners , rad cradle , etc , are finished in semi-gloss black , not gloss like a lot of other restored cars . the engine of course is correct & with the original ram air breather . i humbly accepted the award but with a big smile . and no bragging !
