so my dilema is this a friend of mine lives on a car graveyard free rent but a real mess. so i am looking around and find 2 4bbl 300 aluminum headed small blocks complete, a 4 bbl 340 complete three 430s 3 455s againg all complete and these are just the pulled engines ther are 4 or 5 rivieras still on the lot. I have only a few days to save as many as possible everything is being crushed nothing newer than a 71 do i stand and cry he will crush em but wont give em away he wants 250 ea motor except one 300 which i get free should i move this to the crime of the century forum. there is also a 62 special convertable rough but doable smash or give him 500 bucks I guess i am just in shock at the carnage and needed a pat on the shoulder to soothe my saddened heart. This doesnt even include the 4 olds 455s

    I wouldn't mind rescuing a 455 or two, providing its a 70/71!

I'd definately be interested in one of the 455s if we were able to work out shipping. I imagine that you would be able to get back your money on the 455s and maybe a 340 or two. LEt us know what you decide. Perhaps the other party would be interested in knowing that there is intrest in these items if they are willing to put in a little effort.
Also, where did all of these engines come from. Are there half a dozen Buicks in this wrecking yard sans motors?

    Aluminum headed 300

I had one of those alumium headed 300's. It's a kp motor, stock was 11 to 1 comp. I rebuilt it and put it in my 67 Special. There weren't to many races lost in that car. The motor still lives on in a friends' 65 convertable. So just list them on the for sale page and find them all homes. Clint

Show up on scrap day and give him 2 cents over scrap prices for it all and tell him to save the gas/ energy of crushing them???

He will make more money and do less work???

Reason with him or threaten him.

He can either or 500 guys form the local Buick club are gonna show up to break his legs with that car crusher.
