Drinking, coming into work hung over from the night before, lack of sleep, firing up during the work day, what ever it may be that alters your attentiveness, they are all the same. All put themselves and others at risk of injury. No good. uzzled:
I say it depends on the erra, wasn't that many years ago where you could be a drunk long as you could do your job. Ones who couldn't get weeded out quick. Some of the old timers drink 24/7 and never look tipsy. Sharp as a tact. Even more so if your job is to be sociable.
My Father always said that he would have gone farther up the career ladder if he had been willing to go out and do the 3 martini lunches everyday like his peers. This would have been in the sixties when it was commonplace to get liquored up during the lunch hour. (Ala TV show Mad Men) :laugh:
That is true, when rawhide had to let 2/3s of it folks go the ones who took a smoke break every 45 min with the boss and boozed it up after work kept their job. Even for rewards they would pay the bar tab for a night. This wasn't that long ago either. First day on the job they installed napster for me so I could download all I wanted to listen to music at work. But since I didn't drink or smoke I had no job security.

I don't smoke now but I did. and I have one thing to say. people who smoke only POT don't have a mean bone in there body and I doubt could kill or fight anyone. But a person who drinks can do both and a whole lot more. my 2 cents:bglasses:
When I smoked back in the late 80's all I wanted was to sit on the couch, eat some ice cream, and watch star trek .....
The first season of That 70's Show was the best! I liked when the parents would be questioning Eric in the kitchen after he had been in the circle, and from his perspective they would show the background wallpaper in the kitchen moving around. Boy, been there. "Why are your eyes red? Where have you been? What are we going to do with you?" :rant:
I hope they legalize it, then big tabacco and big pharma move into the pot industry and then the lawyers sue the big pot industry into bankruptcy, then the federal government will bail them out with taxpayers money. :laugh:

I have never done drugs in my life and that includes pot but thought you'd guys get a kick outta this pic of me in Afghanistan. This was taken inside city limits of Kabul about a block from my place. It's treated like a weed over there and the locals laugh at us fawning over it

Dude thats to cool. Suprised it wasn't picked clean on the sidewalk side. That pic looks like a scene from mexico though the lack of broken beer bottle is a dead give away. That could be any outsie of the tourist trap road around larado but the edges of the roads would be covered with broken beer bottles. ANd not like 1-2 but a solid boarder up n down every road. Though ya make me think about worry about Hotrodgss1, he hasn't checked in sine Dec 6th from Afghanistan.
Nearly 5 years ago after my back pain became unbearable, :ball: my Dr.'s suggested that I might want to smoke a small amount in the evening as they were very concerned about putting me on Vallium,Xanax or Soma and the potential addiction to these pills (5 years of vicodin,percocet,oxycotin though-NO PROB!!!ou: ). I liked to smoke my pot in the past, but now, man it just isn't worth it. My new Doc piss tests me to make sure I'm not on other stuff. Don't understand this.:moonu: He's the one who friggin 'cut me open 14in. and did 3 procedures to me:af: I asked what would happen if I came in the ER w/ a severed leg and while they cross typed me for blood, if they found out I had pot in my system from last week, if they would just let me bleed out? NO answer:idea2: .Now it's contracts for the DEA and all this crap.:rant: Makes me want to chillout w/ a fatty The other thing now is that if I were to get arrested for anything now in St. Bernard or Orleans parish, There is a jail house piss test.:rant: IS THIS EVEN LEGAL!!!!!! o No: If you test positive for weed you now get charged for that and get to spend $for drug court and probation(nearly $100 a month for this):shock: .
