Convertible, vinyl top, what's the difference :Dou:

Is a pretty car. Bet the engine is crap and the floors are rotten. Like when they have 7 pics all from the same side and then mention that the other side has a slight scratch from sideswiping a semi at 90 mph

I am selling my 1967 Buick SS Grand Sport, it has the 400 Big Block engine, it is ALL ORIGINAL! NO RESTORATION!!! All in working order! The leather is flawless! It is Champagne with a Black leather top, as you will see in the pictures! This is the last year for the convertible! It is the California style, rear end has NEVER been touched, Hollywood mufflers, and the Star Wars air cleaner. Original miles are 73,556. You will not believe how AWESOME this muscle machine is! If you are interested please call me with any questions! Jim 810-635-9512. I have many more pics if you would like to see more! Call me before it is GONE!!!

I highlighted the parts I thought were funny in red. As buickbonehead said, steering whel isn't original. What a joke!!!

Nothing wrong with dreaming, and I think some people would be surprised at just how many people get sucked in on ads like this. As PT Barnum was porported to say, "There's one born every minute"...

As for the "no restoration, all original" part, this is proof positive that a little bit of knowledge is actually dangerous, and either this clown is a fraud, or just another guy who was duped ito believing something when he bought it.

Pretty car though, even though there are enough red flags in the ad to scare me off of it...

You must be young. Not that I'm that old but...

Hollywood mufflers are probably the very first brand that made the straight through glasspack.

    Just to clarify:

The car looks beautiful in the pictures. A picture of the engine, and inside the trunk would be helpfu. A lot of problems can be lurking under pretty body work so pictures dispell those fears.

The interior and roof are vinyl, not leather.
It's a Gran Sport (no D, and no SS)
It might've been the last year for the convertible, but this car is not a convertible so that is not relevant.
The steering wheel is from a later model Buick. It's a Buick wheel and it looks nice but you should mention it.
The Star Wars air cleaner is very popular and I beleive it was only available in 1967. If it's on the car you should emphasize it.

Of course, we are Buick enthusiasts so we suggest you consider working out some sort of deal with your Grandfather. Many of us started our love of Buicks with an heirloom passed down. The definition of "Heirloom" covers a LOT of ground. Very few get started with something this special. Consider getting your hands on this Beauty. This has a distinct look of something that will be regretted once it's gond. They are distinctive, reliable and a ton of fun to drive.

    Good luck,

    John
