Did it do a burnout before u changed to the different tires? Did it do a burnout after you changed the control arms? Sorry just trying to help you narrow it down.
When I had my 4 speed car I also used tubular adjustable rear upper control arms and non adjustable tubular lower arms.. .
I'd play with the air bag pressure and RPM for now. You can always add the No Hop Bars (I recommend the TA ones, I have them)
Don't be sorry, I'm happy to explore all avenues. I had actually never done a burnout on the MTs. Just recently got them in preparation for BG. They might have 15-20 miles on them
First thing I'm gonna try is dropping the airbag pressure. Dont know if I'll try again tomorrow in the driveway or just save it for BG. I really don't want to waste track time chasing something as stupid as wheel hop in the burnout box if I can help it.
And before I forget, THANK YOU gentlemen for all you're help and input. I very much appreciate your time. Any other input and questions are welcome, I've tracked motorcycles before but never a car like this. This rookie will take all the help he can get.
Looks like you are pushing out of the water and starting to dry hop. As others have suggested adjust air in the bags. I run about 5 psi in the right bag and start with 15 in the left.
Also get a pinion snubbed on there, there is a hole in the frame directly over the pinion, Autozone has universal bump stops with a 3/8 stud in it, bolt it In that hole in the frame
All good input Ethan, thanks. I'll mess with it tomorrow (nothing like last minute changes/additions the day before leaving for an event!!! Why do we do this to ourselves....)
Then I (or "we" for that matter) must be sadists of the highest level.... My car still won't tell me the safe word either.
Funny you say that. Before the first attempt I went over all 4 corners just to be sure. The car was sitting there idling and my neighbor was looking at me like I was nuts. Then I tried the burnout and all but confirmed to him I am nuts....
Cars break our balls all the time. If it was easy everyone would do it. We are the true car guys and ladies
