I have an engine for my '76 Skylark that I am working on get put in. It is a 350 out of a '78 LeSabre with TH350 transmission. Truthfully, I prefer a manual transmission, but I dont think I have enough time, nor the resources to get a 4 spd with O/D, mount it, make a working clutch-pedal assembly, and cut out a hole for the shifter, as this is the last week in my Auto-tech class. But a thought occured to me: I can shift from 1st to 2nd to Drive on the TH350, so why can't shift all gears? Any idea if this would be possible? if not, is there a tiptronic transmission I could mount to the 350 so I could atleast have a semi-automatic transmission? :3gears:

If you had a 4L80e or 4L60e, you could add a paddle shifter.

I am looking more for the manu-matic stick shift, though, but this still looks good. I will have to keep an eye out for 4L60e or 4L80e.

If you're interested in a 4L80e, I have 2 of them for sale.

One is a stock '92 trans. with 98k on it ($375), and the other(a '91) was rebuilt last year - very low miles. That one comes with the diesel TCM & wiring harness($750).

Both come with converters & dust covers.

Manu-matic, correct? I may buy it from you when I have the money.
