    timing

    - dwell meter with tach
    - timing light with advance check capability
    - a wrench that u can easily & safely loosen the distributor lockdown clamp/bolt
    - some guys like to use a vacuum gauge while adjusting timing & idle .
    - long screwdriver if u need to adjust idle .
    - piece of plugged vacuum hose or plastic cap to cover the vacuum port on the carb where the vacuum hose from the distributor attaches to the carb.
    - u may need a hand vacuum pump to check the diaphragm in the vacuum pot on the side of the distributor
