timing for this idiot

    I have a 70/71 350 in my Full Size Jeep truck and I am looking to find what I should set my timing...(Perolex ignition replacement for points). The Jeep book I have starts at 72 with 304 and 360 but mine is a 71 and no books are available for a decent price. Any help for this lunitic?:confused:

    Stock is 6 or 8. Try 10 -12 and see if it pings.

    stock is 6, but you should be able to go to at least 10 easily, without pinging.. -
