Would anyone know the NOS part number for a 65 Skylark 300 timing cover. Will any covers from other motors fit. After soaking my original 39 year old water pump with penetrating oil for weeks now. I decided to change it. Just as I figured, snapped three bolts and the pumps still tight. I know with just a little taping I will end up cracking the timing cover. I was thinking of sacrificing the pump core by cutting it up with a dremmel to get it off. I know thats crude but im kinda stuck now. I also have no faith in the threads being any good on the cover once im done. Sometimes I really hate Aluminum Parts Any ideas????????
All Small Block Buick covers are interchangeable. New ones are available, although have a different timing tag.
