Timing Cover trouble.

I jacked-up my timing cover this past weekend and today I sent a "friend" to the junkyard to pick on up for me. He just called me and said "yours is a V-6 right?" Cause the timing covers look identical. Please some one tell me if the V-6 cover is going to work on my V-8 we need that praying emocon........... o No:
