I have to fix a front seal leak on my Stage 1, can I take the front cover off without pulling/dropping oilpan or not?
If the pan has to be dropped can I remove it with engine still in the car or would I have to lift the engine?? Thanks Ron

No need to drop the pan. There are four pan bolts that thread into the front cover. Remove those as well as the rest of the cover bolts and you're all set. The gasket kit will have the section of pan gasket needed for the front of the pan. A dab of silicone where the pan meets the block will help.

Yep,,,, what Dev says..... you will have to put substantual downward pressure on the timing gear cover when you are starting the bolts into the engine block....get all the bolts started before you tighten them down.....
