I have a stock 69 GS 350 with a 10 bolt STOCK posi unit. It has a 340 to 360ish gear in the rear. I have been told it uses a cone type clutch on this board in the past. Can I still get the parts to rebuild? I am asking because the last couple of time I have stabbed it I only got a one wheel peel? Another problem maybe.... I had the Goodyear service people change my rear fluid last year? If non posi fluid was used would this cause a problem? I just want it right, I am not racing it. As for the gears I am only guessing what I have never had the car in the air and spun the tire and counted the drive shaft turns. I will say under full throttle 1 to 2nd is at about 30 and 2nd to 3 is screaming at 65mph............ No tach just in drive with foot to carpet. The car runs very good even with the 225-70-14's radials the car has no trouble melting them out of the hole................ Now it just wants to melt the right one!!!!

I think 3.23 was the standard axle and 3.42 was the optional performance axle. The 10 bolt units used in '68-'70 are very hard to find parts for and I dred the day I have to find parts for mine :(

Hopefully someone will chime in here with some help....

Ray rebuilds the cone style posi units. Have had a couple of them rebuilt by him, he does a great job.
