54,000 easy miles on this car. A 1967 so it's been a while. All original compnents. When retoring I hit a tie rod end booth and ball joint booth with a wire brush. Can I just get new booths?? Or should I change. When checked about 3000 iles ago told it looked OK.

The boots are available online (Ebay), but may not look original. The real problem is you have to separate the tie rod from the center link and the ball joint from the spinal to get them on. Someone will surely jump in here with more experience than me on this subject, but seems like a lot of trouble unless looks are important. You can just drive it until the grit that get in wears out the joints. My experience is old original parts are far better than replacement parts.

If you use the right tools, you can separate the ball joints and tie rod ends with out damage.

Kent-Moore sells a tool that does the ball joints.

If the parts are original and tight, keep going.

The rubber parts like suspension bushings probably need to be replaced.
