Can anyone tell me if a tilt column from a 68 riviera will work in the skylark cars? I'm guessong no, but I'm not sure. I have a tilt already but I found one cheap and figured I'd get it for parts if it'll work. Thanks Ryan.

    No, not even close.

You need one from an A-body and it has to be a 68 model....so you have a 1-yr only column and be prepared to pay since they are rare.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure as I haven't even went and looked at it. If anyone else needs one he only wants $80 for it and it is for a 67 riviera.

The difference is that the tilt option was not often found on a Skylark. I think every Rivi came with a tilt. It would be interesting to know if the internal parts were the same and if one could use the Rivi column as a parts piece for the Skylark. I suspect they are different internally as well.

Completely different internals......so don't bother with it.

In my 72 Skylark, I have a 76 Monte Carlo Tilt Column. VERY easy to install, and once i painted it, it looks amazing!
