I am having a problem with the throttle cable being extended too far causing the metal sleeve not to mate with the plastic cable sleeve and sliding freely. It seems like my carbuartor linkage post that the cable connect to is too far forward (but it is in the stock location for my quadrajet), or maybe the throttle cable bracket is sitting too far back causing the metal sleeve to not mate properly.

Has anyone run into this problem?

My manifold is a B4B and the carb is a quadrajet, engine is a 70 455.

The more I look at the bracket....I am wondering if the bracket is wrong and setting a tad too far back for the cable, but the bolt hole and alignment dogleg fit the manifold.

    Thanks
