Seems like we're always thrashing the last few days before we take off for Stanton, even pulled an all nighter putting the engine back in the Ramrod years back...No one more so than Donny, though. Engine is back in the 66, just sitting there, need to hook everything up yet. Found a few things wrong in there, but nothing really changed from last year. It wasn't pulling in 4th gear, think we know what that as now....float level too low and throttle lever loosened up onthe shaft on the center carb. Anxious to see how that works out.
What carburetor? Huh? o No: Didn't look like we were going to make it with the 66, got back on track this week with some great help. Trans was locked up in reverse.
Wow! I'm still waiting for my hood for my red car to be painted and installed. It's only been 12 years...
Super nice Donny. I bet it will gain 2 mph in the 1/4 mile just do to paint drag reduction! Jim
I have nowhere near Donny's issues but the little Boss did tear apart the motor mounts at Martin this spring. Which in turn let the shaker hit the hood trim ring. Trim ring is painted and done. Motor mounts are still in a box. It will be ready for more power shifts soon enough. And no MCA concours correct ones this time. These will be PS capable I hope.
