What do you guys think of the new LED tree that's been implemented at NHRA tracks this year? I had my first experience last week, first round I tried to hammer the tree and hit a .465 red. I was alll over the place in time shots, lights were .575 to .670 and I'm at the beginning of another learning curve. My lights last year were always .500 - .530 and I redlighted exactly TWICE, a .499 and a .490. Anyone who hasn't run on the LEDs yet should get to a track and see how bad your lights are off....

Yea it wouldent suprise me that there was a diffrence in times. since an incandescent bulb takes a few extra fractions of a second to turn on vs. LED that are nearly instantly on. Just look at the speed between the brakes lights of some cars and the thin LED center brake light. the LED turn on and off much faster. although it should lead to a more consistant light once you get used to it.
