i would imagine that the missing.4 could figure in that none were very perfect in the first place. plus.... once you latch them a time or two and drive the car, none are better than a 9 anyway....

jlv, hows your ragtop doin? i havent seen you post in a while.

You know that 98.765% of statistics are made up on the spot. An alarming statistic on its own.

Hi Yuk. Doing well indeed, although I have been travelling a lot around Africa these last months, and had no chance to work on the car, nor posting on the forum. I now reached the point where I have no real urgent job to do, buy I continue to scrutinise eBay and from time to time, I am tempted by a NOS item that may improve the looking. Next step is to go to US cars meetings in France, and later on, in Europe.

Regarding the Top, all works fine, basically since you taught to me how to use the 2nd bow and its cables :TU: , but I need to do a big job on windows adjustment (weatherstiping is very recent) as the car turns into a bath at any heavy rain.

I am now thinking of importing an other old car from the US, and I may ask some assistance on his forum to have a look at it, should I localise something interresting, and one of yours living close. Might be something like a Buick convertible from the 50's. Need to think !

    I'll post some pics soon.

He's exact enough to use 9.6 but has to put an "about" in front of it! Picture yourself buying anything at a store: "So how much do I owe you? "About 9.60, I'm not really sure but its about exactly 9.60"

Bone head... I should email him and tell him the part is only a 9.55 not a 9.6.
