I thought my GS was the fastest thing around...for about 2 weeks. Yep, its not porwerful enough now. Soooo, it's not really broken, but I am thinking about breaking it now (bad habit of mine) I want to do it at home (I have a decent amount of tools/air compressor/etc. What do you guys think about Gessler? I will not be racing this car, so crazy head work scares me.

I have a Edlebrock intake, 750 Holley (no friggin choke...hate that), full length TA headers, and stock 3:42 posi. I really want to get the best bang for my buck. Head work??? Also, I *think* it has a mild cam from the way she sounds, but I have no idea. Gimme some advice here.

I personally think head work is the biggest step up you can make. Porting a set is expensive, though the power really gets up there quick with a good set of working heads. With the iron heads I have(currently for sale, lol) I got my 9 -1 comp. stock bore 455'' to run 12.18 at a corrected 4000'. Basic set up in regards to intake, headers bla bla bla. I told my friends here that ''port work was everything'', and as I was putting the motor together they kept telling me ''time to put up your theory''. Long story short, I gave away 3.5 points of compression(one motor to the next) and only lost about half a second in qtr. et.

Head work is where its at, I promise.

Keep your eyes open in the For Sale section - once Bulldog starts offering aluminum heads there will be more and more people switching over from good ported Iron and prices "should" drop with competition to TA
