ATI now has a double key way thicker hub for your ATI damper. It requires a different seal which the number is provided,a small amount of machining to your front cover(enlarging seal register a small amount for new seal). Also John Everett has 4 hubs he had made with the same dimensions if anyone is interested.
About time, when I made mine 2-3 years ago ATI was of no help after I split 3 of their hubs. What is the part number for the seal? Curious if it’s the same one I used.
Yes Mark it is the same seal you used.I went straight to JC who owns ATI and he wasn’t happy about the way things were previously handled by the sales/tech dept. As far as the fit.there is a spec for the press fit and we have to hone the balancer to that spec.It is actually pretty easy to do.
I feel better now knowing it wasn’t just my balancer that was ridiculously tight going on. Thanks Cliff
Yea it's common knowledge that they need to be honed...which I guess there being variances in crank snouts it's good you have that ability to adjust fitment..but for a slip fit application like the Buick they should open them up a little imo
