i am building a 455 for my 70 sklark. i want maximum street drivability in a fun-by-the-seat-of-your-pants kinda way. is this the intake for me? my heads wont be ported, and the camshaft is slightly more aggressive than stock. it says it will fit under the hood with a low profile air cleaner, but will that choke the air supply? cutting my hood is not an option. thanks for the help.

I love my SP1... No porting either, and small valve heads. I drive it everyday with no probs on the street and also have a Mild cam. It was much better than the factory and it even felt better than the old B4B I was running:TU:

Since there all basically close in price, I'd go for the SP1 that way you'll have room to "Grow"

As for the aircleaner, you can't use the stock one. But any drop base from the auto store with a 3in element will fit just fine.:TU:

I run an SP1. No complaints here on the street.

i went from a s divider with a 1" spacer to a sp1, there was no difference in the drivabilty, it did have to adjust my idle jets for the sp1. i run a 800 q jet

    Kelly,

Was there a notable performance gain switching to the sp-1?
