I just got back in from Carlisle and my opinionated results of the two days are mixed. I had a great time meeting everyone that stopped by the BPG canopy including, Carl Rychlik and friend, BuickGSXJuiced and dad, David Roth, Kenneth and wife (Beautiful white 70 GSX from Ny.), Jerseysky66 and Tom (Projectman). A quick apology if I missed anyone and not remembering all your names Also want to give a big thanks to Paul and Lynn (Paul455) for bring out there beautiful GN, John (Paul's friend) and his awesome pearl white GN, Bill (Bill Lagna) with his amazing GSX, and Walt (wkillgs) with his hot 67 Skylark for helping support OUR club the BPG. In the process of setting this meet up I ran across difficulty with Carlisle productions which did not help but I was also disappointed with the member turn out. Our club is only as strong as we want it want to be. I was happy to see people ask questions about the BPG, the membership and the upcoming events. The banner that Bruce let me borrow made a big statement and looked great! Since Carlisle has altered things, next year will be even better. The total number of Buicks on the show field was around 20 which was low compared to the other classes. I did see a lot of people take interest to the Buicks which was a good sign and only hope it gets better. Another good sign was at the car corral. There were only a couple of Buicks for sale including a really nice 69 Riviera for 5 grand. Rob and I were planning on staying till tomorrow but Rob got a major sunburn which turned him into the likes of a lobster. Heres a pic of the canopy setup and I'll add a couple more pics in a little... Thanks again everyone!

This car is owned by Ken and was driven 170 miles from Ny. The engine has never been rebuilt and has over 150000 miles on it. This car simply a great piece of history and memories for Ken...

This low mileage Skylark is a real eye catcher. This car has the factory paint with a sherwood green painted top and has the fabric style interior with fabric done door panels.

First of ALL ,Thanks for the gas. I spent a couple of day cleaning my GSX and overal ,it looked good for a 20 year old paint job.I backed the car out of the trailer closed the trailor door and it wouldn,t start!!!!%#@**.
I have a new gas tank ,sending unit etc to install but never did.
Thanks to John (Delerius), I was able to get it started and drive the 500' to the BPG area.
Buicks have never had a large turn out at this event, but I was expecting support from the BPG. Oh well I had a great time and found 455 and 350 valve cover gaskets for $2 set!!
Oh Cadillac had over 25 Aliente"s (spelling?) on the field + others 1000's of Camaro's.

Your welcome Bill... Anything to help a fellow member and friend...

Here is a pic of the show field from top of the hill. The weather on Friday was really extreme with the super hot sunshine. Yesterday it was fairly nice with sun, clouds and few sprinkles.

Here is a pic of the other side. A lot of cars showed up but there was also space left for more. The one thing that Carlisle did this year was alter the classes. I have found out that in previous years they did most of the breakdown by years where as this year, they did it by models. Can you believe they had 3 classes for rivieras but no classes for the GS?

This Trans Am was drawing a crowd all day long. This was one that was invited by Carlisle and I could see why. All the gold that is seen in the photo is real 24kt gold. Everything about the car was a work of art.

    Hey John,
It was good talking to you and Rob. Hopefully the turn out will be better in the years to come. I think this show will keep growing. This was my first time coming to this show/swap meet. I had a good time. I talked to alot of good people. There was enough cars to look at. I hope more Buick people show up at this event in the future. Anyway I have a couple of more pictures.

Good meeting you to Bob! Cool thing about the Wildcat in the pic above is the hupcaps. Not sure if they are functional but they have air inlet scoops on them...

I prattled on about my day at Carlise in the "Buick owners Needed" thread.

A :TU: to all who stopped by.
A  to those who said they would come and didn't.

Hope to see more cars at Fall Carlisle. I hope mine is one of them:Dou:

If they can get 25 Alliante's together we should too. ..I mean, come on.
