Just in time for June the posi is in! Yeah hoo! Pretty big job, but not as difficult as expected, just time consuming. Time for a little spinning of the tires. (As much as can be done with 2.93's)

    Congrats Trevor! :beer :TU:

Now, we will need proof of this "spinning of the tires." :Brow:

Hey thanks guys. I'm going to take it easy on the car for the next week or too, make sure everything is working like it should. I'll get some proof soon enough.

congrats, I just put one in my Duce and I have to say it made a huge difference, glad I took plenty of pics of the rear brakes before I took them apart. Let us know how your tire spinning goes, I think I'm going to have to put a line-lock in my break system since the car is so heavy to really get a good burnout.

Took about 20 hours to do the whole thing. Switched out the carriers and reused my gears. I'm looking forward to a better launch at the stop light that's for sure! How long did it take you Andy? I'm sure it would go quicker the next time, first time is always the slowest.

You beat me! I need another week or two... I went about it a little differently though, I had the Posi blasted, I then painted it, I did the same to the control arms and installed new bushings, added new shocks, brake lines and shoes/ hardware along with a trans rebuild. I'll send up a smoke signal in a little while! :3gears:

That's a lot more than what I did! Pull out the old, slap in the new.

It took me about 10 hours of work with a buddy of mine helping, I also did a complete rear brake replacement with all new cylinders and pads on the back while i had it all apart. I also just took my stock one out and changed the ring gear over to my posi unit and put it in there.
