Sorry, I'm jumping in to argue that one...it wouldn't matter where New Orleans is this year(come on, Green Bay, Chicago, Detroit, and Minnesota?). They would be 1st in any division with exception to that of the Colts, hands down. And that would be a tight race if they were in said division. Kolb played very well in the game with Philly, and we all knew the nay sayers would be out in full force if Philly lost, and here they come. When it comes down to it, everybody's got a favorite, and I'll be cheering on mine when they win this Sunday. I'm calling the Saints by 10pts, and Darren Sharper with 2 more picks is where they'll get it. Somebody call or text Eli and tell him to put bars on the windows or the Saints will take his football while he's sleeping....:Brow:

in case you haven't checked the standings, the vikings are undefeated, the bears have only 1 loss, and the packers can play with anyone. yes i said the NFC NORTH. the NFC SOUTH is over rated.

The standings have been checked, and so have the defensive/offensive ranking of each team. If you believe they are all better than the Saints, you are not betting by the numbers. The Saints have a great package team. A lot of offense, a good if not great defense, and they create a lot of turnovers. When they have been faced with a top ten defense coming to down, the team left town ranked worse than when they came in. They have not found themselves in nail biting finales in the final seconds of the fourth quarter this year as most of the NFC North has. When they win, they do it resoundingly. There is no second guessing. We'll see after the smoke clears this weekend. :beers2: Till then, we can go on for hours on this one.

I still love the Giants for taking down the Steelers a few years back, though.

Good win for the Saints on Sunday. They do look like the class of the NFC at this juncture of the season while the Vikings continue to win as well.
While I am very pleased with the Falcon win on Sunday, The Falcon defense gives up too many big plays, allowing other teams to hang around our "red zone".....The Saints love that situation.
We play da Cowboys next week. I really want that one....:spank:
Then it is the big MNF game vs the Aintz....Should be fun..

    AND THE GIANTS!!!!!!!:Smarty:

Packers???? The team we beat 51-29??????? PULLLEEEZE :spank:

Letsee we have beaten all these very "good" teams (excluding Detroit), just bodyslammed the Giants with THE #1 DEFENSE. :spank: We get 7 TD's by 7 guys, hold Manning back and we're still crap???? I:puzzled: love it!!!!! You keep eatin' da cheeze. Our "D" is pretty damn good. Our "O" line has givin Brees time to do what he WILLS the ball to do.:pp Pierre Thomas makes more yds per than A Peterson,:) we can throw or run to or with any number of people and still no respect???? :Do No: Whatever you're smoking passs it down here.:Brow:

I believe we will go to Da Superbowl more than we will go 16-0.:Comp: Tha's fine by me. Can't get to full of your self. We may have trouble with ATL, cause that's always a good game. Maybe by week 11 and a prime time win over the Pats you might start to see things more clearly.:bla:

This team has never been behind-this year. NEVER. AND on pace to go over a record 600+pts. by the end of the season. :Dou:

BTW Rodgers sucks-you should kept Farve, after all we'll probably be meeting them not you post season.....:moonu:

i can see how you saints fans get excited over a few wins. when you've been in the NFL for over 40 years and never won anything, 5 and 0 feels like the super bowl. enjoy it while you can, because the saints will choke in the end. as for Aaron rogers, if you think he sucks, it shows you know nothing about football.

    Poppaluv I CALL WINNERS!!!

I can't see how you guys get excited over cheese. For your past 40 years the Packers have won one (1) superbowl.-and you had to come here to do it. Y:rolleyes: ou're still hanging your hat on that. And we actually have won a lil' bit. We've won our division a couple of times even went to a championship game. But LIVE IN THE NOW!!!! I can't wait to see Farve cut the cheese on you guys.

It's sad you want to go back over 40 years. In the last few we have beat y'all:

'08 51-29 (WITH Aaron Rodgers)!!! Is that why you're still so upset? :Do No: Dang ,dat's worse than what we did to N.Y. yeasterday!!!
Before that in '06 we won in Labeau field.:bla:
Before that in '02 We won again. I think we have your #. Too bad we won't see you in the post season.

If we?I can't be excited by one of the best COMPLETE teams in AFL/NFL history- YOU know nothing about football. And yes 5-0 makes me happy. It's not 3-2, but hey we might drop 1 or 2 later. How sore is Rodgers after getting sacked 5 TIMES yesterday. Brees has been sacked 4 times THIS YEAR!!!!

P.S. Watch some sports programs,'cause FYI the SAInts have not been behind this season. Hmmmmm, leading in every one of the 20 qtrs?:Smarty: Yeah hate on........:ball:

Ah yes... You gotta love the back-and-forth banter between football fans. I thought I was reading the AJC, where SEC fans cry/boast over their squads. Mostly cry, excluding AL and UF.
Saints are not going 16-0. ATL will split with them this year, but I believe the Saints will go 14-2, and make a run to the Super Bowl. Drew Brees has to stay healthy, of course. I keep waiting for the Viking bubble to burst, but they are the #2 team right now. Green Bay is solid, as is Chicago, ATL, and the G-men.
AFC is up for grabs. Indy, Patriots and Broncos look really good right now. It is all about home field advantage in that conference!
I need 3 or 4 more weeks to really get an idea of who the best 4 teams are...

I've been watching this post and as the old saying goes 'be careful what you wish for'. In the last five years no top seed in the playoffs has won a Super Bowl. Thats ten teams with the best record in their respective conferences failing to win a Super Bowl. All ten top seeds! And three of the last five Super Bowls were won by teams playing on wild card weekend. (Pittsburgh '05, Indy, Giants). As it is now you just want to get to the playoffs. That's why they play the game.

That's why I figure we'll drop a couple. I like to see us humble.

To Corrrect: the most complete SAINTS team in OUR history. And dammit, we have good reason to me proud and hopeful. Now I've a fan long enough to have seen us lose every way possible. Just don't see that this year!:TU: Can't wait for the Mon. night games against Atl and NE. Then we have a Sat. night against Dallas :moonu: .

Just hope Sports Illus. DOES NOT put us on the cover!!!:spank:

I'm even gonna drive the primered boat to a game or two...:beer

that's quite a correction poppaluv! from the best in afl/nfl history to the best in saints history. o.k., i'll give you that. what you gotta realize is teams go on hot streaks every year in the nfl. look at the 2007 patriots. they ran rough shod over the league, go undefeated in the regular season, and end up losing the super bowl. wait for the season to end, see what the saints do in the playoffs, then everyone will know how good they are. so what if they haven't been behind in any games yet this year. that doesn't mean squat.

  18. Poppaluv

    Poppaluv I CALL WINNERS!!!

John , means squat to me. :) BTW 57% of the nation piced the SAints as the best team. :TU: Closest other was like 18 % or something. Did you lose a bunch of $ on us or something in the past.:Do No: You're really negative, Sheesh as you said about our past-more reason to be proud now.
Tell me your benchmark as to when we get your respect....

WIN AT LEAST 1 PLAYOFF GAME AND THE SAINTS GET MY RESPECT. AS A SIDE NOTE, I WAS CHECKING THE STATS IN THE PAPER THIS MORNING. GUESS WHO LEADS THE NFC IN PASSING YARDAGE? YUP, AARON ROGERS.:beers2:

  20. StageTwo

    StageTwo It's a Beauty Too.

Yeah, tell that to the teams they've played!

John. Listen. Don't rain on a parade. Yes, there are no guarantees that the Saints (or any team that finds itself at 5-0) are going to the Superbowl or even the playoffs. But the Saints are on fire right now and nobody is lighting up the scoreboard as they are. Theyve got as good of a shot (if not better) than any other team in the NFL to finish the year on top. If you dont agree, thats fine. Just dont make rain.

And dont confuse historical data with a forecast. Turn on The NFL Network if needed. Plenty of accredited discussion and analysis taking place there.

That being said, the Cowboys will win the Superbowl this year. :moonu:

    Peace. Out.
