Hello everyone. I've been poking around this forum the past few days and have to say I love it. I've made a few post and have gotten incredible feedback. I've been on other buick forums and have had my post sit for weeks unanswered. NOT THIS ONE! I am 27 and from Baton Rouge La. and I have a 58 Buick Special 2dr ht I bought for $1000. I wish every one could see this car it is almost perfect. Interior, chrome, stainless steal, and body are excellent the only thing it was lacking was a running engine. Which I have sold only to replace it with I hope to be a much larger 455 ci. At the moment i have the body off the frame and prepairing for a 9" rear end, engine and tranny and an air bag suspension.

Thanks angain for a great forum

P.S. I know this is more of a 60's-70's forum but are there any other 58's out there!

  2. welcome and good luck with the switch on the motors.

    Welcome Gary!

Good luck with the 455cid swap. I always thought about putting one in a 50's buick. Your right this is mainly 60's and 70's but we do have a seperate section for the older Buicks. Look for "Classic Buicks" Goodluck. :TU: :beer

I saw a guy with a 57 Super that concluded the easiest thing to do was to put the body on a 72 estate wagon frame. He said there was very little fabrication. He also got a more modern chassis and drivetrain already set up with a 455.
