A true work of engineering genius:TU: BTW, in another post you said you worked in the entertainment business. What might that be? I work in the film business here in Atlanta. I just lost a 7 day Nike spot to some guys from out of town. Damn, that would have made my month. Now I'm unemployed until further notice, again! I love my job but sometimes I hate this business.
OUCH!!!! That hurts more than my knee. I'm getting there. Doing it all, doing it right, doing a little at a time, takes a long long long time. Shes been garaged for almost a year. I've been a couple weeks from paint for months now. Between work, kids, honey-do's, softball, band, golf and yes...this damn computer....I only get in there a few hours a week. I'm almost done with the interior paint, doing alot of cutting stages, not just sand-paint-done, finishing up the firewall. Then I have wheel wells, quarter panel insides, front cross-frame, then a front end kit to install and then she can get towed to the painter. Hopefully when she's out I can get all the parts prepped and ready for put-back by the time she returns. I could just throw it all back together and be on the road in a couple days but, we know better. Besides, I have a beautiful 63 Special that gets me around in the meantime. Mike C, I work at both large and small studios around LA. Mostly post for film and TV. (all things music related) Yes it is a fickle bizz. You work your arse off for a couple months with no life and no fun, then youre back to un-employed for way too long. The trick is to try and set up your next gig while you're working. You wait till you need one and they're never around. Even that doesnt always work either. I'm glad I own all my cars outright, monthly payments and the entertainment bizz dont mix. Sometimes I dream of moving to Oregon and working at a gas station. Just gotta finish the 65 first...lol this dont look like much, but it's always right on the bone and in the same spot all the time....
