I just picked up my dash top nicely offered by Rob (Golboattail455) almost one year ago. First of all, thanks, Rob, :TU: it is in perfect condition and I imagine the burden to wrap it up and ship.

So, Rob offered it to me for a negligible price, almost one year ago...
Then was shipped to Phoenix, $130, where it sat a few month before a nice Dutch person met on this forum put it in a container to Netherlands, for $60 only, which is a very fair price...then it stayed 3 month at his shop in north of NL, until I decided to pay a visit by car with my wife to pick up the staff....1000 km drive, (600 miles), $160 gasoline, + $40 highway tolls (in France only, as it is free in Belgiium and Holland....) + Hotel in Amsterdam, $550, + parking $45, a few restaurants , $100.

That makes the dash top at $1000. Who says more ? :Brow:

    Hi Jean-Luc
You did that with your Centurion?!

I think you work for an oil company so you must have big rebates! That would explain!

Yeah, a generous 5% rebate..while fuel at supermarkets is 15% cheaper...but I am a good soldier, I try to refuel at my company's stations !

No, I went with the PT cruiser. heating works better....and the GPS...depite this f...GPS lost its way a couple of times...

    That explains!

About the rebate, I'm not too surprised. My uncle who worked as a supervisor at Petro-Canada until he retired a few months ago also had only a 5% rebate on gas and Diesel fuel.

Need to dye it in black first...I am wondering if I should not paint it in gold.... :beer

By the way, Rob, thanks again for the nice loud speakers (1 bidg and 2 small) and the brand new large hose for the air vents that was attached. :TU: :TU:

    Go Buick Go Woot!

    $550 for hotel in Amsterdam?!?!?

Wow, that must be the hotel that comes with free weed on every pillow!

I think I managed $12 a night at a hostel there for a week, but drugs not included!

That is what you have to pay after you wake up your wife early on a Saturday and take her for a 8 hours drive just to pick up a Buick dash....She used the pillow...

When I was younger, I slept in Amsterdam under a bridge for free...until police kicked us out ! times have changed!
