Brought my car outside for the first time this year. I had to order new pirelli tires for the front so thats why the stock rims.

Within the next month I will be installing 2" drop spindles with big brake upgrade, a "fast" air ride kit so I will be able to lay the front on the ground, leather interior with some fiberglassing, and some more goodies.

I know the styles not for everybody, but until then, here's some pics of what's done so far. It's a little dusty.

That looks pretty clean! What was done for bodywork? It looks nice and straight now.

That is one great looking car!!! I always liked the look of the '67s,,but the way you've done that one makes it really stand out!!! Love the color,,should be an easy color to keep looking clean!! Good work!!! :beer

    Thanks!

The whole car was shot in tinted primer, jambs, under the hood and all! I kind of like this primer look, but I have a dark classy paint job in mind.

Here's a before pic when I first bought the car, it's undergone some cutting since then.

That looks sweet! I love the primered look. What size tires and rims are those? What did you have to do to tuck those under there?

I have 18x8 for the fronts, and those are 19x8 in the back with 5" backspacing. Those tires are 255/40/19. I shaved down the wheel well lip a little bit, otherwise, I didnt have to do much. It's sitting on the bumpstops in the pic, I'm not going to drive it until the air ride is installed.

    Looks good. Kinda sinister looking.

Did that car come from Saskatoon? I was talking with a guy about a '67 that looked like yours, but I was in the middle of a move and didn't pursue it too hard. How was the body on it?

Sinister looking! Exactly what I'm after! :TU:

If your talking about the car from the auto trader last summer, this is the one. It was from Saskatoon, but I bought it from a guy in North Battleford.

The body wasnt too bad actually. There was some soft spots under alot of the chrome trim, so after that came off some new metal was added (trim is bad) :pp

The guy was cool, I wonder what he would think of his old car now.

Must be the same car. You have done a nice transformation on it.

You gonna lose the 340 and drop in a big block?

Thanks! I think I will put in a big block eventually. The 340's going good right now, so I'll use that until then :beer

    Sweet!
Excuse my ignorance.... but how do you get in it with the door handles shaved?
I assume you use a remote control to pop them open or something?
What happens when your car battery dies?

I'm using an autoloc remote kit with 50lb solenoids. If the battery dies, it dies, hood opens from outside to charge it or change it, I can get out of the car since the inner handles are still hooked up.
