I'm in need of the last two issues pictured in your post. Anxiously waiting for them as they are high quality books. Keep up the good work on them.
I'm sure they will show up very soon, we all know how mail delivery slows a bit around the Holidays. Beth
AWWWWWW Beth, your breakin my heart here :ball: . The Holiday mail that is slowed/held is the third class stuff. I believe most of yall call it "junk mail". The newsletters as I recall, come first class. If they are delayed it would only be for a day max. and that would be a mistake from within your local office. The postal service cannot intentionally delay/stall first class mail. BIG TIME rules violation there, and an offense that will get you terminated, on the spot, immediately. The impressed that upon me for some reason in my office, HAHA. SO I don't argue with the Feds, I just do my job and enjoy myself. I am missing a few newsletters too it seems now. Until Rick stepped up with the covers, I didn't realize how far off I was. I see everyone is getting a new one now though, so I imagine, in the sticks out here where I am, I will see mine tommorrow  . But that still leaves me a couple behind. I will keep the faith that they are on their way. I just can't imagine JW wants a big ole stack of Buildsheets hoggin' up his space at work. He has enough to do. So on the lighter side, is them some good reading in the new/latest/whatever issue we are getting now ? Its cold here, I NEED me some readin' material. :3gears: :3gears: Later.............................
News Letters Well, I just got AUG./Sept. Issue, I wounder when the Oct./Nov. Issue will come o No: AL.
Easy Pal.. Yes, we are late with these issues.. Late getting them done, late getting them mailed. Rick had a computer meltdown and had to re-create that issue you just got, and then we had an issue with the ink cartriage for the postage meter.. ordered a new one 2 day air,and it came 6 days later.. It only becomes "like the GSXTRA" if I start making excuses about the post office for late issues. JW
I am under the impression that all the work that goes into this club and the services it provides is done by volunteers. Excellent job everybody! As a matter of fact, maybe everyone should go back and re-read pages 4 and 5 of the August Build Sheet and key in on the information related to the following terms/phrases: "..got the right folks in the right places..." "...making personal sacrifices..." "...sacrifices his own 'funtime...'" "...his trust in us allowed us the capital..." "...is the man for making this work financially..." "...is very easy to work with..." "...having him on the team..." "...missed the entire show...so that when you came to the tent..." "...VOLUNTEERED for more work..." "...works tirelessly for us all for FREE, all year long and she deserves your thanks..." "...That's hundreds of hours devoted to this club, and the event..." "...brings the entire family out to help, and they all work tirelessly on your behalf..." "...worked long hours..." "...she did not make even one mistake..." I welcome the build sheet when ever it arrives. Thank you to all involved in making this whole thing including the "Build Sheet" happen.
Earlier in this thread is the notification that nominations will be soon taken for leadership positions. Lets put the "constructive feedback" that that is being shared into leadership postions that directly affect actions - I am assuming one could self-nominate if they felt strongly about making positive changes!?! We got the Sept. Build Sheet, Vol 3 issue 4 on Monday. Once again another great job. :TU: :TU: Beth
Rick, JW and the powers that be: Have you considered getting the newsletters as a metered mail/mail permit item? No need for stamps and/or envelopes. Less labor? Less time? Just wondering if anyone has met with a local postmaster to discuss what would be the best and most efficient way to get the newsletter distributed.
