    Finally Done.

Well after working on this for about 1 year (with my spare time) the Shop/GS's home is done! I hate to kick it out of the house like this, but at least it's heated and has AC for the summer as well.

Can't wait to start using it this winter. :beer

That is SWEEEET !!!! Heat and AC !!???!!! Wowowow........

Since its so empty now, why not think of a 4-post lift :Brow:

Sheeez......my garage, even though its 4.5 cars, looks like a war zone compared to that. I think if my garage was that clean, my wife would make me live in there:eek2:

I've actually planed to put a two post A-simetic lift in there (on the side the GS isn't in. There's already footings there for it. It's just a mater of selling my GSXR to fund the lift.

Believe me, the shop is only that clean because it's new! My main garage looks like a busted #$@#. I hope to stay on top of this one better and keep it clean.

Thanks for all the comments on the shop from every one. It was a LOT of work.

Hey Rich, we all know the reason that garage was built is because the wife wanted somewhere to put that baby carriage that's parked behind the GS.

LMAO.......... Actually that was my excuse to build it :Brow: We needed a place to put it :TU: The other stall is for the duble carriage that will be needed to hold both of the littles guys (we have a boy on the way :) )

Congrats on the approaching arrival! :beer

I've got twins, a boy and a girl. Will be 3 on Jan 31st. Ironically, it's the anniversary of my Dad's passing. We feel Dad was sending us a message when they were born.

I couldn't imagine life any other way, although sometimes I'd like to ;)

Too bad, I sold my tandem stroller on ebay. You could have used it!

Anyway....... your right, I sure could have used that stroller :) I will be in the market for one.

Cool shop , I just wish I had a place closer than 100 ft to park my cars. When I get the GS It will be kept inside storage.

That Baby excuse works wonders...... I have an 18 month old boy and a second baby (the last) on the way in 5 months. With all of the toys that the current baby has stacking up in our current 2-1/2 car garage the wife has given me the green light to build a second 24' x 24' garage to park the GS in.:beer

We broke ground yesterday and hope to have it up before the snow gets too deep :Dou:

No AC or Heat planned for the new garage though..:gt:

Sounds like your kids will be about the same ages as mine :TU: For a nice forced air heater and a big widow mount AC refer, your only talking another 900 bucks :pp Wouldn't that be worth it :Smarty: I hadn't planed on doing the AC, but the more I thought about it, the more it made since. I also have phone / dish network out there as well .

Something else to thank about while your building is plumbing compressed air lines to all the walls so you don't have to drag hoses all over. You can do this very cheep using 1/2 inch PVC pipe. :TU:

Congrats on your new baby coming....... Are you hoping for a boy or a girl this time?

    Rich,
Nice shop. Like the nice tall celings. Someday maybe I can finish up the interior of mine. Just need to finish paying it off first.
This pic is of it just after the structure was done and the o/h doors put in. Never took pics after it was finished.
Size is 34x40 and can fit 8 cars for sure and maybe 9 with proper parking.
Six in it now and plenty of room to work on them.
Heat would be nice this winter, but not practical until the interior gets done.
My only problem with my kids is keeping them from driving the cars.......:jd:
My daughter is more of a motorhead than my son........:eek2:
See what you may be in for......
    Congrats and best wishes,
    Mark

    WOW Mark.....

That's a big SHOP..... I wish I had the land to have one that big. As it is now, my shop is only 17 ft from my house. It also consumed almost 1/3 of the back yard (less mowing :) )

I did my celing 13ft in prep for a 2 post lift. That and only that was the reason it was so high....... my neighbors probably don't like it blocking there view :spank:

Anyway.... you have a heck of nice SHOP.

    Rich,

$$$ are a huge restraint right now ( my wife is a stay at home mom, only one income at this time). We were going to buy a camper next spring but that money will now be used on the garage. The inside will not be finished right away, so I will have the option to add things later (except a heated floor). I am just happy to get a place for my GS away from the bikes, wagons. bubble mowers and powerwheels.

As for a boy or girl it really does not matter, I am kinda leaning toward a girl so that we have one of each and so that my wife has a little girl to do girley things with. A boy would be good to give my other boy someone to wrestle with.. Either way is OK with me :beer

Sounds Good Mike..... I can under stand the money thing! I'm fortunate enough to be able to work an od night/ weekend schedule. This allows the wife to keep her job and then we just hand off the boy as were coming and going. It keeps him out of day care too (wich I might add........ she would stay home before the boy went there) Your very right it's just GREAT to have a safe haven for the GS.

Keep us posted on what the little critter is when you find out.
