    Prices aren't so crazy when you factor how much people made per hour ninety years ago. But thanks for posting.

    We expect our smartphones today to last longer that. We complain today, but those cars were truly disposable back in the day (My modern daily driver is 24 years old).

    Agree. Just looked up the average wage in the U.S. in 1928. It was $3,269. a year!

    Would suspect many model T’s were kept through the Depression. People chose to dispose of them. Just like today, with the endless amounts of annoying dealership ads. Endless payments and debt.
    When first moved to El Paso (25 years ago) there were many shops on Dyer St. that still were advertising turbo 350/400/C4/6 and Torqueflite rebuilds for $300 and up. The older vehicles were still being driven.
    No road salt here, will keep driving used, thank you.
