The first time I drove a Buick was, TODAY! I'm so happy! :beer :bglasses: :3gears: I finished installing all the brake lines, that was easier that I thought!, it took me about 1 and a half days, and my dad helped me bleed the brakes. Do you guys remember the first time you ever drove a Buick?
Glad you got it going with your Dad !! Yep ! It was 1975 and I drove Dads 68 LeSabre to the Ford dealer that I worked at to do a little fine tuning ...:Brow: Now I own a twin 68 .. :TU:
Drove my dad's 81 Regal with a 350 in it when I was around 9 or 10 lol. Not far, just of the road into the driveway, but hey, my first time driving a Buick. :moonu: :bglasses:
I heard about a convertible for sale at a local restoration shop. Found out it was a 1966 Wildcat Custom Convertible. Went down for a test drive and even though it needed a water pump BAD, I fell in love.... too bad I had to sell it a few years later, it had turned into a 5 cylinder V-8 if you know what I mean.
Mine was when my Uncle and Father got me the car, and I picked it up while home from college on a holiday. It was chilly, but my dad told me to put the top down and roll up the windows. My brother and I went cruising around for a while.
First time I drove a buick was not too long ago, used to go on a backroad here on the outskirts of keokuk where there is very rarely any cars, gravel. fun times.
Wrong again Pat! It was a jack stand weight. HA! Cody im not in Iowa where 14 year olds can drive legally. I can drive, but not legally. :moonu: p
congrats!! way to go slawek!:beer how does it run man??? does the 350 run ok? love to hear it run sometime did ya do a burn out yet?:beer
Not counting the 55 my dad would let me steer into the driveway while sitting on his lap, it would be our 66 Wildcat Coupe. Smooth as silk with neck snapping power.
Well the first Buick I ever drove was an 89 lesabre, I was 21 ( I'm 23 now) My grandfather went in to the hospital, and when he came out he decided he didn't need the second car. As a little back story, my grandfather had always wanted a Buick. To him that was a sign that you had "made it' to have a Buick. His first was a lesbre, I forget the year, but it was a blue lesabre, then he bought the 89 and now has a 01 lesabre. When he gave me hta car, not the best performing Buick, but I get into other cars and they seem loud and not as smooth.
May, 1987 - A 1970 Buick Skylark convertable, 304000 miles. Bought from original owner, hadn't been licensed or driven for 3 years. I got 12 blocks from the guy's house before a cop pulled me over. Issued a warning. Was pulled over 8 times in that car but never received a ticket. One time was even 110mph in a 60mph. Said I was really sorry, I was just cruising along and not paying attention.
lol rob. I keep forgeting, illinois doesn't want 14 year olds to drive...since most of them like me like to knock over mail boxes and take out stop sings and hit and run...I think you know the story.:moonu:
Oh now i know why you wanted that rear bumper. Maybe cause the old one had quite a few mailbox inprints on it? Hmmm!uzzled: Thats nothing i would do with any of the cars we have. Two are brand new, and one i just sold. :ball: I dont know the storyo No:, seriously?
