I bought a new 68 Riviera , got married in 1969
and had to wait till 1986 to actually get my GSX .
A lot of good memories .

I have the magazine that the article was in for sale in parts for sale. Also shared it on the bench.

 

103 mph? This car has so much more in it than 14 flat. My best is 106 mph and that was a 12.5.

In Joe Oldham’s tell-all book, Muscle Car Confidental, he admitted the quarter mile time and speed for the GSX was bogus.
He said that they couldn’t get the car to the track before the deadline so he made up a time and speed. They actually did this a few other times with other cars.
