JUST so everyone knows the 3.42 10 bolt gears that Fab Craft was and did build are NOW IN STOCK!!! Brad set the first gear set up and he said they are as good as factory... PERIOD. Next ask Brad about 8.875 gears for the odd ball 12 bolt that has a 10bolt cover. No gear are made for them, no parts swap into them or out. [can't even get a cover gasket.] But plenty of folks got the peg leg or POSI version in their big Buick. I got one of each as of now.
Any possibility of some 3:64s similar to that of a original Stage 1 car ? Just curious. John Biggs. ray:
The 3.64 gears as stated before will all teeter on how well the 3.42 gear do. IF the 3.64 gears will be made they will be designed to fit the 3.23 3.42 carrier that is on the market. We would not make gear sets that will fit a DEAD posi like the 3.64 posi unit which is the next step up from the 3.23 3.42 carrier. SO if you have an original set of 3.64 you can use a spacer to make the gears work. If you have an original 3.64 posi unit it will only work with the ORIGINAL 3.64 gear set. This will also keep those guys that have original equipment VERY rare as it should be. You will know the difference and now one will be able to cheat anyone saying it is ORIGINAL . Ok? BIG CAR 8.875. From what I hereard from Brad the Fullsize 10 bolt cover 12 bolt rear is having gear set made for it. Sop hang on tight. He is working on it. Just remember guys... To get a quality product these days the whole thing has to be looked over very carefully and babied ALOT. Seems work pride is hard to find these days so things take longer to get done. Please what ever job you have out there in the US.... DO IT WELL we all make the difference. Everyone has to do something and I really do not believe one job is more important than another.
