Actually we haven't found anything yet. We're downsizing, staying within area. Mike C says I should have engine next week, we'll see. says replacing rings, pistons were carboned up and will also replace guides. He said he'll call sunday and have me come up. He sounds busy.

I guess you guy's thought I had forgotten about this site. No it's just I haven't had any info to pass on. As you know I took my engine to Mike C on March 3rd and I still don't have it back. I talk to him at least once a week and all he says is you'll have you engine Sat. Well he didn't say which Sat???
What is it with these type guy's?? All that he is doing is replacing valve guides and rings. How long does that take 3 months?? I don't think so
I've tried everything. Of course understanding, he's busy, or I'm working on it or or or etc HOw about if I take 3 months for me to pay him.
So I'll update you all when I get an update

I think it's the fact that he tries to get your ( Buick ) work done after hours and personally , while running a busy shop thats fixing regular cars everyday . Greg , feel free to call me at 314-664-7191 Sunday at the firehouse . I have seen this stuff before . If you need another shop I have a good one that will not blow smoke up ( you know where ).

Picked my engine 5-23-07. Mike does have to work on other things and works on engines after hours. What appears to be problem was that AMT plugged off oil pressure relief in oil pump so oil was being blown up push rods into heads and being burned through valves. Mike had another pump cover.
    Also rings were replaced.
Total seal rings are great for racing, but I mostly cruise around town, so Mike wanted new rings. He honed cylinder walls, valve job & valve guides, new lifters, but kept same cam, new rod berings and gasket set. Parts were 400 and labor was 525.

I'm still putting it back together. I've been busy with Grandkids, packing and moving. The GSCA MT headers were a bear puttting on. Whew
I have to put in rad & all hoses. Probably won't get to work on it until Mon or Tue June 4th or 5th.

I'll reply when I can....talk to you all later
