I am in the middle of building up my th400. I am also converting it to switch pitch. I read about taking out the waved plates in the direct drum and intermediate clutch pack but I was wondering how it shifts when you take out the waved plates. Does it slam into gear or does it just firm up the shift a little bit? Another thing I heard is that if you take out the waved plate from the direct drum when you put the car into reverse it slams into gear pretty hard since the waved plate isnt in there. Is this true? If it is is there an orifice you can put in or some kind of fix so it wont slam into reverse? Thanks - Justin
