Anyone succesfully using the Chevy TH400 to BOP adaptor to mount their trans.

I have 4 Chevy TH400's but no BOP TH400. I will need to bolt one to my Buick 455 motor.

Tom, I use one. It works fine. In fact I've used the adapter plate, with two brackets, as a mid engine frame mount plate for the drag car.

Considering the Chevy cases are much more expensive than the BOP cases, why don't you sell one of the Chevy 400s, and buy a few BOPs? Then you won't need an adaptor.

If you weren't half the continent away, I'd offer to trade you 2-for-1. (Maybe 3-1, depending on year and condition)

I use a J.W. Ultra-bell, which has both bolt patterns. The install was pretty straight forward and I've had no leaks or any other problems after around 100 passes.

    good luck
